Long Rock
Beach Overview
A perfect spot for learning and improving although as the name implies you need to be wary of the Rocky outcrop and kite downwind of it depending on where the wind is coming from. A great location for twin tips and foiling and if there is big swell from theSouth East, South or South West Long Rock will provide some protection for launching. You will generally find more kiters launching from Marazion round to Folly Fields near St Michaels Mount.
Don’t Kite here 2 hours either side of high tide

HAZARDS & RESTRICTIONS
Avoid kiting here 2 hours either side of high water as there is not enough beach. At other states of the tide make sure you always kite downwind of the rocky reef - so if it from the west through to South then kite to the east of the outcrop. and If it is E or SE then kite to the west (Penzance side). At Low tide in front of the car park be aware of many small random rocks dotted around the the beach which can do your board a mischief!
